Mental Health Services

untitledA variety of mental health services are available to at-risk and homeless women who attend the Center. Psychological assessment and referral for psychiatric and psycho-therapeutic services are available on a drop-in basis several days a week.                      In addition, various weekly support groups are offered at WDDC:

  • Managing Difficult Feelings, which emphasizes learning skills to manage emotions that may get in the way of coping with current stressors and problems
  • Women Overcoming Trauma, a psycho-education and support group for women who have experienced trauma and/or domestic violence.
  • Healthy Relationships, a group which supports women in making healthy and clear boundaries in their dealings with others.
